Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil is truly a blessing because it is rich in important vitamins and minerals, including vitamins E and B-complex, zinc, copper, selenium, chromium, and iodine.  And it is suitable for all skin types.  Jojoba oil has no oily feel, it's light, it's not sticky, it's odorless, and has a long shelf life.  In addition, it's antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and it's non-toxic.  These properties make it extremely beneficial for the hair, skin, and the entire body.

Not Really an Oil
Although called "Jojoba oil" it is actually a liquid wax that's extracted from the nut of a shrub called "Simmondsia Chinensis" - it's indigenous to Southwestern America and is known as goat nut or deer nut,and has nothing to do with China.  Used by Native American tries for centuries, The Jojoba nut its common name derives from 'Hohowi', the O'odham name for the nut.  They used a paste made from the nut for skin and hair care, and the whole nuts as survival food in case of emergency.

Skin Conditioner
Unlike most vegetable oils, Jojoba Oil is unique.  It resembles sebum, a waxy substance produced by skin glands.  As a result it acts as a natural skin conditioner.  It is so ubiquitous that it has nearly replaced animal fats in manufacturing lotions and creams.

No Smell
Jojoba Oil has a mild nutty aroma and a clear golden color in its raw form.  The refined oil is completely odorless, eliminating the need for any fragrance agents when included in cosmetic and healing products.

After Shave Ingredients

Bergamot Oil

Bergamot is a citrus fruit.  The rind is used for extracting bergamot essential oil.  It's scientific is "Citrus Aurantium" or "Citrus Bergamia."  Although a tropical plant it also thrives in Europe.  It has a powerful aroma that makes it a popular component in many perfumes, in which frequently used as the "top note".  It is derived via cold compression, not the steam distillation by which many other essential oils are derived.

Reduces Infections
The essential oils of Bergamot are naturally antibiotic and disinfectant.  They inhibit the growth of germs, virii, and fungi.  They also are effective in prohibiting infections, including skin infections.  If used regularly the skin and hair can remain protected from infections.

Reduces Pain
Bergamot essential oil reduces the feeling of pain in the body.  It stimulates the secretion of certain hormones which lessen the sensitivity of nerves to pain.  This is great property when considering the face and neck after shaving!

Antiseptic & Vulnerary
The disinfectant and antibiotic properties of bergamot oil make it a good antiseptic and vulnerary agent.  It promotes fast healing of wounds, cracks on the skin and heels, ulcers, eczema, and itching, and it protects wounds from becoming septic and developing deadly tetanus.  It not only treats and heals the effects of other infections, but inhibits the formation of new infections.
