Your entire bathroom will be bathed in a glowing warm back-lit resplendency. The LEDs run at 3,000 degrees Kelvin, almost identical to normal incandescent light bulbs. In the unlikely event an LED should ever burn out - theyhave a 50,000 hour expected lifetime - it can be replaced. The LEDs are not dimmable. The CRI (Color Rendering Index of this mirror is 90+, which is very high and will show your complexion or outfit in a very natural-looking light. The surround backlight 3-inch border illuminates forward and gives a wall glow ambient light as well. The mirror glass itself is copper-free corrosion-resistant PrimeMirror™ glass. UL approved, with a 5-year Manufacturer's limited warranty by Cordova, an Electric Mirror company.

Mounting Instructions

Mounting Instructions

Lighted mirrors include two components: a metal chassis and a mirror face. The chassis mounts to the wall through mounting holes situated near the corners of the chassis. The mounting holes make it easy to mount the chassis to a structurally sound surface such as wall studs. After the chassis is mounted and hardwired, the mirror face is hung on the front of the chassis.

The overall 2″ depth of the lighted mirror includes the 1.75″ chassis plus the .25″ mirror. The chassis features a white powder-coated finish to complement your room's color scheme, and is designed to be surface mounted to your wall. However, if you would like to recess the lighted mirror, ensure the mirror face is proud of the wall and only the chassis is recessed.

A 1″ clearance is needed above the top edge of the mirror in order to hang the mirror properly. Additionally, maintain .25" on the left, right, and bottom of the mirror to allow for installation tolerances.

The chassis comes ready to hardwire for 120V-240V. The power whip should come through the back of the unit for the hardwire connection. A 36" long power whip can be prepared 12" down from the top of the mirror and centered from left to right. A quick disconnect is included so the wires can easily be connected. No J-Box is required. Width x Height Orientation

Since the mirror hangs on the chassis, it cannot be mounted sideways. All lighted mirrors must be mounted in the width x height orientation indicated.

Electrical Hook-Up Instructions

The Charisma and Unity lighted mirrors come standard with LEDs that are dimmable. The LEDs can either be controlled by a standard on/off wall switch or a forward-phase dimming switch. Whether using an on/off switch or a forward-phase dimming switch, there are no special requirements other than a hot, neutral, and ground, 120V or 240V hardwire connection.

The recommended two-wire forward-phase dimming switch is the Leviton IPL06-10Z (not included). The above diagram is for illustrative purposes only. Refer to the switch manufacture's wiring diagram for detailed instructions.

The Celestino lighted mirror comes with non-dimmable LEDs that can only be controlled by a standard on/off wall switch. There are no special requirements other than a hot, neutral, and ground, 120V or 240V hardwire connection.
About CRI

Color Rendering Index (CRI)

The color rendering index (CRI) is a measure of the ability of a light source to display the colors of various objects faithfully when compared the a natural light source. Light sources with a high CRI value are desirable in color-critical applications such as neonatal care and art restoration. Generally the higher the CRI, the more pleasing to the eye.

The highest possible CRI value is 100 and is frequently achieved by incandescent or "regular" light bulbs. Fluorescent "cool white" bulbs have a CRI of around 50 to 60, but some high-end multi-phosphor fluorescents can go up to 98. LEDs typically have an a CRI around 80, and better, more expensive LEDs can have CRIs up to 97 or 98.
